Je m’appelle Mirthe and I’m just another sixteen-year-old who dreams of travelling and seeing the northern lights. Writing and wandering are what I like most and I left my heart somewhere in Africa.
I also like impressionism, quiet music, airports, hot chocolate, gigs, neuroscience, psychology, bookshops, analog photography, playing the guitar and the piano, sipping coffee in little cafés, little children, drawing, falling in love with strangers on public transport, imaginary conversations, philosophy, newspapers, people, hugs, kisses, languages, botanical gardens, forests, mountains, deserts, oceans and city lights.
I have never fallen in love but with strangers, who I could shape and colour with dreams in my mind, but I like to tell myself that one day I will meet someone who’ll live a simple life with me in a tiny apartment where we would read and play music and have sunny breakfasts. I’d feel happy and light and would still not be able to change the world, but at least brighten it a little.
